Charla Bocchicchio
has spoken and told her story publicly, numerous times. Sharing her sometimes painful truth about what it was like from her perspective as a mother; loving, living with and losing her only child, 22 year old Cassidy to a drug overdose. Charla has an easy way of connecting immediately with an audience, whether it be a small gathering of young women in a long term treatment center, an auditorium full of high school students, or a room full of professionals or politicians seeking answers. Charla's career in acting and performing gives her a polished, yet raw and open vulnerability that make her story even more compelling and relatable. She's not afraid to tell the awful truth in order to shed light on a family disease that is killing thousands. She is also available for interviews on local and national television programs, radio, podcasts, magazine articles and more.
Her speaking fee is negotiable and she will work with your budget, as her priority is sharing her story, the good , the bad and the ugly, to help reduce the stigma associated with those suffering from Substance Use Disorder and their families that sometimes hide behind closed doors in shame.
